Assistant Account Executive
Banning Ramirez is a results-driven public relations professional with several years of agency experience developing meaningful media and client relationships while producing impactful campaigns and events. His passion lies in serving local businesses, organizations and stakeholders that uplift and engage Hawai‘i’s diverse communities.
Banning began his career in public relations at Little Green Pickle in Portland, Oregon, where he supported multiple team members on over 30 client accounts in food, beverage, hospitality, and tourism. Previously, he was an account executive for BuzzBright PR – a full-service public relations and influencer marketing agency based in San Diego and New York. He is a member of the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement, Public Relations Society of America – Hawai‘i Chapter and the International Association of Culinary Professionals.
Born and raised in Kailua-Kona, Hawai‘i, Banning graduated from Kamehameha Schools Kapālama and earned his bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from Humboldt State University. In his free time, Banning collects rare vinyl albums, reads literature written by Native Hawaiian scholars and is always on the hunt for the best local eateries around the islands.
