Pono specializes in strategic planning, crisis communications, message and multimedia content development, and media relations to help clients navigate complex community issues and influence key stakeholders. Her suite of clients includes those in renewable energy, interisland transportation, education, development and real estate, hospitality, and organizations serving Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander communities.

Before joining Bennet Group in May 2019, Pono served as a Legislative Aide for Hawaiʻi State Representative Nicole Lowen and as a Digital Content Producer for Hawaiʻi News Now. Pono is a member of the Public Relations Society of America – Hawai‘i Chapter and supports the Blood Bank of Hawai‘i and Friends of the Library of Hawai‘i.

Born and raised in Honolulu, Pono is a proud alumna of Kamehameha Schools Kapālama and Utah State University. In her free time, Pono enjoys diving for seashells off O‘ahu’s shores and going to the library to select a new stack of books to read.
