Bennet Group Takes Home Five Awards at annual PRSA Koa Anvil Awards

In recognition of the Bennet Group’s work on campaigns and materials for regenerative tourism, development, COVID recovery and encouraging COVID vaccinations among NHPI communities, PRSA Hawai‘i recognized the firm with five awards at the annual PRSA Koa Anvil Awards ceremony.

“These awards are a testament to the critical, transformative initiatives our clients are advancing for the benefit of our communities statewide,” said Joan Bennet, President and CEO at Bennet Group Strategic Communications. “Their leadership empowers our work, and it’s our honor to continue serving as their trusted partners.”

Senior Vice President Megan Tsuchida and Senior Account Managers Catherine Coleman and Pono Suganuma accepted the awards from PRSA Hawai‘i on behalf of Waikoloa Land Company, Ward Village, Kamehameha Schools and the NHPI COVID-19 Collective, and COVID Pau. The Koa Anvil wins in public affairs, multicultural communications and integrated communications were also named Best in Show finalists.

Kauʻi Burgess and Wendy Kekahio of Kamehameha Schools and Dr. Nalani Blaisdell of ‘Aha Hui o Na Kauka joined the team to celebrate the wins. It was an honor to collaborate with three mana wahine and 13 organizations on our NHPI COVID-19 Collective Awareness and Prevention Campaign, which strived to protect the health and well-being of our lāhui during the pandemic through culturally tailored messaging.

Bennet Group drove strategic communications and provided project management to the hui, which consisted of the steering committee of Kamehameha Schools, Office of Hawaiian Affairs, Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement (CNHA), and the collective’s members, including ‘Aha Hui o Na Kauka, The Queen’s Health Systems, Papa Ola Lōkahi, Lili‘uokalani Trust, King Lunalilo Trust and Home, Partners In Development Foundation, Kawaiaha’o Church, COVID Pau and We Are Oceania.

These wins come on the heels of the agency’s 25th anniversary of serving Hawaiʻi’s leading businesses, philanthropic leaders and changemakers.
